In last attempt, ICSI asked many general and case law based questions instead of all the procedures given in the module. ICSI asked questions from Executive, as well. Work on important cases. Don’t waste more time on the Insolvency section because it has lowest weightage and yet the portion is tricky. Almost 40 marks is theory again! The portion is vast with lots of cases, so you should have your own notes and go through the scanner. Once you go through the module, don’t waste time on it again. Saving time and shortening the portion is important. You can check the trend analysis in your scanners, there are some questions that are only asked for 5-10 marks (like penalties, adjudication, etc.). So there is no point wasting time in these. Do them according to the time you have and how much benefit you will get.
A huge part of Direct Tax and GST, you have already studied. So try to be perfect in these parts. Try to understand concepts. Solve sums but more importantly, study in such a way that you can reproduce the meaning of every section for 5-6 marks because theory is important.

- How to prepare for CS Professional Exam : DRAFTING
This subject requires a lot of practice because you need to develop a flair for writing in the legal language. Go through as many drafts as possible and note the main clauses that you should write depending on the marks (generally 10 marks). Try to write the clauses that are unique to a certain draft.
Definitely solve the annexures at the end of the module because drafts are asked from there in the papers. No need to study pages and pages for each draft, study according to the marks.
A lot of normal theory questions are asked. So make notes, so that you don’t have to waste time going through all the paragraphs in the module. Notes help you in remembering, too.

Depending on your subject, ask for help from those who have already given the exam, and your professors. Go through your module once and have an idea of which chapter has which topic. Carry as many books as you need, don’t feel shy. Carry extra books if you get a feeling.
How to prepare for CS Professional Exam : General Tips
FINALLY, in every subject, there are many sections/rules/acts/cases. Try to remember the important ones but you will not lose much even if you don’t remember any of them.
There is always overlap in the subjects. They can ask you a drafting question in ACLP. They will ask FTFM in Taxation. Anything can happen. So study accordingly.
Time management is important. Take care of your health. Practice writing because your hand is really, really, really going to hurt.
Once you do the module, try to prepare your own point-wise notes, especially if the module answers are in paragraphs. This will save a lot of time and effort. The idea is that you take out all the relevant parts from the module and you don’t have to go through 700 pages every time you pick up a subject.
The portion is so demanding that even after studying you feel like you don’t know anything. Practice, work hard and don’t worry- you will definitely reproduce things in the exam.
Don’t worry too much and just try to do things well, whatever you are doing. Even with the best plan, it is possible that you will not finish everything. And that is okay.
